R & H’s Cinderella- Alabama Shakespeare Festival

Stage Operations Supervisor

I was the Stage Operations Supervisor for ASF’s production of Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The set consisted of 16 flown pieces of scenery and 16 rolling scenic units. My job was to coordinate the scenic transitions with stage management and to maintain the scenery throughout the five week run.

Deck Crew and Automation Programmer

I was a member of the deck crew running four repertory operas. I assisted the IATSE crews during load-in, changeovers, running of shows, and strike. I also was the automation programmer for The Coronation of Poppea in whuch two trusses with lights flew up and down throughout the opera for a sunrise and sunset effect. I worked with the IATSE Deck Crew Supervisor to program on Creative Conners’ Spikemark.

The Glimmerglass Festival- 2020 Season

Rigging Intern

I was the Rigging Intern for the 2020 Festival Season, but due to COVID-19 the performances were cancelled. We had zoom classes everyday over the course of about two months, in which we learned the basics of how Glimmerglass works through their season prep including rigging, drafting, structural design, and scenic changeover planning.

Deck Crew

I was a member of the deck crew running four repertory operas. Due to COVID-19 we moved outside to one of the nearby parking lots. We constructed our own theater using a Stageline 40’ x 40’ portable stage on which we hung trusses for lighting, sound, and scenery. We also created scaffolding towers for lighting, offstage space, shade for the orchestra, and a truss structure for the video wall before loading in the scenery for all of the operas.
